I know of the options, yes.

It is not something to simply jump into however! It is a very rigorous strength exercise, which could easily result in someone drowning, or becoming injured without proper care.

Proper stance, primarily. If you cannot stand firm under typical force, you certainly will not stand firm under the crashing waves of water!

In this case, typical force would be employed by another person pressing weight upon your shoulders, or lightly attempting to knock you over. If you falter under that, the water will take you easily.
